Ruth Arlow
Professional Biography
Ruth Arlow is taking extended maternity leave and will resume her practice in the near future.
Ruth is a specialist practitioner in Family and Civil Law with a particular interest in Ecclesiastical Law. As an experienced specialist family law practitioner she undertakes all aspects of family work with particular focus on care proceedings and the financial aspects of family provision. She has experience in all level of court up to the Court of Appeal.
In care proceedings she has represented the local authority, children and parents and has recent experience in dealing with issues of neglect, learning disabled parents, alcohol/drug dependence, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Ruth’s practice encompasses the financial aspects of family provisions including substantial ancillary relief claims, Inheritance Act claims and cohabitee disputes.
Ruth regularly speaks at seminars in all areas of Family and Inheritance Act Law. She has provided advocacy training both in the United Kingdom and abroad and is an accredited trainer for the Australian Advocacy Institute and the Advocacy Training Council.
