Professional Biography
Mark practices in Civil and Family Law. He is an accredited mediator and a member of the specialist inheritance mediators group.
In Civil he specialises in claims under the Inheritance Act 1975, contentious probate, proprietary estoppel, constructive trusts, applications before the Court of Protection, property disputes, costs and claims arising in contract, negligence and misrepresentation. Recent trials and appeals have involved the Inheritance Act, presumptions in cases relating to both lost will and due execution, testamentary capacity, constructive trusts, estate agents’ commission and cross claims for adverse possession of unregistered land. He also appears before the Lands Tribunal and at Coroners’ inquests. He is a regular speaker at Chambers and external seminars.
In Family, he specialises in matrimonial finance, claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. He also deals with Injunctions, Committals and applications under of the Children Act 1989.
