Anne Brown
Professional Biography
Anne Brown is a specialist criminal practitioner who defends and prosecutes (Grade 3). Her experience includes conducting trial of serious offences (involving vulnerable and child witnesses, interpreters, expert evidence and substantial legal argument). She has prosecuted and defended cases brought by the Post Office and is familiar with the Post Office’s automated ‘Horizon’ system. Her work also includes cases brought by and defended against HM Revenue and Customs, Trading Standards Services, The Civil Aviation Authority, The Department of Work and Pensions and Local Authorities. She has experience of advising on appeals by way of case stated and judicial review, conducting financial proceedings ancillary to criminal trials, Public Interest Immunity hearings and conducting appeals in the Court of Appeal.
